Effective: August 6, 2026. Product: Lacey (platform on laceyos.com — chat, LaceyDrop, PC companion, Lacey OS coming soon).
Plain-language terms, not legal advice. By using Lacey you agree to these terms.
Lacey is a software platform: chat and tools, LaceyDrop private file transfer, optional Windows companion (SetupLacey), and Lacey OS (coming soon). Chat answers may be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. Lacey is not a lawyer, doctor, therapist, or financial advisor.
You must be at least 13 (or the digital-consent age where you live). Under 18 requires a parent/guardian's permission.
Public use requires a one-time join (name, email, age + terms/privacy acceptance). You may delete your account anytime in Settings by typing delete.
Chat may generate a single downloadable file (script/snippet). Review all code before running it. You are responsible for what you download and execute.
LaceyDrop lets signed-in users create private, expiring share links. Do not upload illegal content, malware, or others’ confidential data without rights. Links are unguessable but not a substitute for encryption of highly sensitive material. Transfers expire and may be deleted when limits are hit.
Signed-in users may download SetupLacey (Windows companion). That software is experimental. You are responsible for access mode choices, confirmed actions on your machine, and anything you run after files are written.
Cloud Lacey on laceyos.com includes chat, LaceyDrop, memberships, and related tools. It does not remotely control anyone's PC unless you install and pair SetupLacey. Local Windows companion runs on your computer after you download it from Settings or Download.
Lacey is provided “as is.” No promise of uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. Use at your own risk.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for damages from use of the service, including bad advice, downtime, or data loss.
Terms may update as Lacey grows. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Check this page periodically.
